Detailed Itinerary

1. Pickup from Your South East Coast Hotel

Your excursion begins with collection from your confirmed hotel. Meet your guide and travel to Maalum Cave in the Paje area. During the journey, your guide will introduce the programme and explain the arrangements for the cave visit and restaurant stop.

Your departure time will be coordinated with the confirmed cave admission and restaurant reservation. The order of visits may be adjusted to suit these arrangements.

2. Arrival and Introduction at Maalum Cave

Arrive at Maalum, a natural swimming pool set within a cave surrounded by tropical vegetation. Receive an introduction to the visitor facilities, access route and site rules before making your way to the pool.

Enjoy the contrast between the surrounding greenery, rock formations and clear water. There will be opportunities to take photographs from permitted visitor areas and appreciate the peaceful setting.

3. Cave Pool Visit and Optional Swimming

Spend your allocated visit time enjoying the cave pool. Guests who wish to swim may enter the water in accordance with the attraction’s rules and staff instructions. Swimming is optional; you may instead enjoy the scenery from designated areas.

The length of the visit follows the confirmed admission slot. Any equipment or additional facilities are subject to the venue’s arrangements and should be checked when booking. Bring swimwear and a towel unless these are expressly confirmed as supplied.

4. Transfer to The Rock Restaurant

After your Maalum visit, continue by road to Michamvi Pingwe, where The Rock Restaurant stands on a small rock just offshore. Enjoy views of the coastline and take photographs from suitable areas before your confirmed dining time.

Access to the restaurant depends on the tide and sea conditions. Follow the restaurant team’s instructions for the approach and any required boat transfer. High tides or unsettled sea conditions may cause access delays.

5. Restaurant Visit and Optional Dining

If a table has been confirmed, enter The Rock Restaurant for your reserved dining session. Enjoy its distinctive ocean setting and select your meal and drinks from the available menu.

Meals and drinks are not included in the excursion price unless specifically stated in your booking confirmation. Restaurant reservation requirements, any advance payment and applicable dining conditions will be confirmed before booking.

If you prefer a coastal viewing and photography stop rather than dining, please state this when enquiring. Access inside the restaurant or to its terrace should not be assumed without a confirmed reservation or permission from the venue.

6. Return Transfer to Your Hotel

Following the scheduled restaurant or coastal stop, meet your driver for the return journey to your South East coast hotel. Your arrival time depends on the confirmed programme, restaurant service, traffic and local conditions.

Rates are valid for travel from 1 January to 31 December 2027 and are subject to availability. A minimum booking of two adults is required. Children are priced at 75% of the applicable adult excursion price. Restaurant purchases are charged separately under the restaurant’s applicable menu and reservation conditions.
